170527 : Turning 25 at Bataan Day #1

Okay so here I am back again with a new travel story I had~ I know, this is very, very, very late na but I really just had to share this of course! Hehe.

So, I really wanted to go somewhere far from the city for my birthday (para maiba naman) and searched for a place that kinda resembles Batanes. First, I have heard about Dingalan from a friend, but I still am not ready for camping activities. So I went to look for some other place instead.

And then I stumbled upon a post about Mariveles.

Amazed by the beauty of the upper view of the five fingers, I quickly added it to my immediate bucket list.

Only person I told about it is my one and only suitor who I brought with me in that certain place. So let’s just call him M.

Random unplanned trip is what you can call it because I have basically nothing in mind where exactly I would be going to at Mariveles. But a place to stay is what I deemed as the most important to spend the night at so I was lucky to have found Hawla Beach Resort. I found out about it many days before we would even be setting our feet at Mariveles, but being the lazy bum and last minute person that I was, I just contacted them that same day that we will be traveling there. Luckily, the resort still has a vacant room for 2 so I immediately booked it. What’s more convenient is that they did not require me a downpayment. Plus, they have offered me their island hopping tour! I have almost declined the offer but what the hell? Why not, right?

So, I had everything packed and just waited for him to be out from work.

At around 12:30pm, we headed our way to Pasay bus terminal to ride our bus to Mariveles. (Actually, it was a wrong choice because the Cubao terminal is a nearer option when going to Mariveles.) And as far as I remember, I think our trip started at 2pm because we even had time to eat at Chowking. So off we go to Mariveles!

160807 : Bohol back to Cebu

I woke up at around 2AM feeling rather different, yung may umaakyat na something sa may lalamunan mo. Super in denial pa ko na nasusuka ako, kaya I remained laying down on the mattress for 30 minutes. Ayaw ko kasi yung nasusuka at yung feeling na nasusuka talaga eh. So ayun, pinipigilan ko na huwag sumuka. Haha. Pero wala talaga eh, nasusuka na talaga ako, so ayun buti na lang at sa baba kami natulog at least madali lang makapunta ng bathroom. So, nasuka nga talaga ako. Kadiri nga eh, parang kulay maroon tapos amoy native chicken na kinain ko nung gabi (o diba dinidescribe ko pa talaga). Yung pagsuka ko parang nag-echo sa buong bahay dahil sa sobrang tahimik eh haha. Tapos ang dilim pa. Yung sa may bathroom lang yung may ilaw. After nun, super mumog ako tapos uminom ako nung VCO capsule na baon ko. Nahiga na ako ulit para matulog, aga pa eh saka madilim. Tapos hirap pa sa data connection dun.

Nakatulog naman ako ulit. Kaso nagising nanaman ako around 4am naman. Nasusuka nanaman ako kaya dali-dali akong nagpunta nanaman sa bathroom para maglabas ng milagro. Kaloka. Halos maiyak-iyak ako kasi 2x na akong nagsuka, tapos mala native chicken parin yung amoy at maroon parin yung color. Super mumog ako ulit, hoping na sana last na pagsuka ko na kasi sasakay pa kami ng ferry and I want to explore the metro part of Cebu pa. So balik tulog ulit ako. I think I’m one of the early birds, kasi tulog pa sila Shiela, Jojo, at Cess pagkagising ko eh. Next time hindi na ako matutulog sa gitna nila Cess at Jojo. Kaloka, ang bigat ng pata ni Cess, tapos si Jojo nangpi-pin down. Buti hindi nila sabay ginawa yun kundi natigok na ko lol. Pagkagising ng lahat, eh di nikwento ko na yung vomit escapade ko. Then after namin maligo (hindi kami sabay-sabay ha), time to eat breakfast na. Ulam naman namin that time were hotdogs, and danggit. I chose to drink Milo this time over coffee, thinking na baka sakali maibsan yung pagsusuka ko.

160806 : Bohol Day 3

This morning, we took our time preparing and eating. We had spicy Korean noodles and coffee. And cartoons! Haha feeling mga bata lang. We fixed our stuffs and off they went back to our bags. Shiela’s tito was going to pick us up at 7:30AM. It’s our last day at the apartelle na rin kasi dun naman kami makiki-stay sa house ng tita ni Shiela.

Sa kinaliit ng tricycle na yan, napagkasya namin ang mga jumbo bags namin sa likod. At dahil 4 kami, Cess and I had to kalong Jojo tapos si Shiela dun na sa may likod ng tito niya. By the way, mabato yung pathway nung palapit na sa house nung tita ni Shiela.

160805 : Bohol Day 2

We woke up at around 3am to 4am since we were told the day before that we will be picked up at 5:30am. We had small breakfast and just brought our coffees in cups along. The car that picked us up is smaller this time, perfect for us 4. And it’s a different driver guide this time. So anyway, meron kaming hindi kanais-nais na na-witness nung araw na ito and I won’t be telling it here na lang. Sa amin na lang yun haha. By the way, in Bohol, lots of huge dogs are scattered everywhere during madaling araw. Everywhere as in, on the sidewalk, on the middle of the road, etc. Hindi sila nadadaan sa busina. Talagang nakatambay yung ibang dogs sa gitna ng kalsada.

Also, tour guides there drive really, really fast. Even the day before, mabilis din mag-drive yung guide namin kahit ang lakas nung ulan, lalo na nung papuntag Chocolate Hills. But try to understand na lang din kasi may hinahabol silang oras. At para makaabot ang mga tourists sa destination on time.

Upon reaching the beach, we found that malakas ang alon ng dagat. Had little difficulties climbing up the boat with our bags. Pero at least hindi matutumba yung boat.

160804 : Cebu → Bohol

So~ After 3 months, I’m back to finally continue the part 2 of our Bohol trip last year. Medyo fresh pa naman ang experience sa memory kaya kaya pa itong maisulat.

Medyo nagpahuli kami na bumaba sa plane para makapag-picture picture kami. As in parang every 10 steps we make eh nagpipicture kami. Even while waiting for Shiela’s bag, we took a photo.

We immediately hailed a taxi cab right after we finally got a hold of Shiela’s bag. We need to catch the earliest possible ferry din kasi para maaga din kaming makarating sa Bohol. Medyo maambon na nung nakapara na kami ng taxi. Luckily, we were already inside when it became a bit harder.

Traffic in Cebu is no different from the traffic in Metro Manila. I thought we didn’t even leave the Metro. Lalo na nung malapit na kami sa Mactan Bridge. Manong driver said na it’s most likely because of the preparation for the Iron Man event that will happen on Sunday (Aug. 7). So eto, selfie muna while enduring the traffic.
